About Our Chairman

Everton Hanson is the Chairman of Dunhill Green Energy Caribean Inc. He is an industry leader with expertise in renewable energy, energy efficiency and air quality. He also has experience in entrepreneurship and the Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) ecosystem, financial management, general management, accounting, banking and finance.

Mr. Hanson was the CEO of the Caribbean Climate Innovation Centre (CCIC) which provided funding to fourteen (14) Caribbean countries for SMEs involved in renewable energy, energy efficiency, solar energy, and other climate-related areas. The CCIC project was a US$20M program implemented by the World Bank, with funding assistance from the government of Canada. The aim was to build an enabling ecosystem that fosters high-growth private ventures that address climate change in the Caribbean. The overall strategy was to build a credible pipeline of high-impact, new climate-related ventures in the region through the provision of funding and support services. The CCIC invested in highly innovative investment platforms, business models, and projects as well as established regional institutional capacity that supports Caribbean entrepreneurs in developing locally appropriate solutions to climate change.

Mr. Hanson was also an executive responsible for equity, quasi-equity, and loan funding in the Caribbean for the Commonwealth Development Corporation (now the CDC Equity Partners), a London-based international development financial institution. The CDC had three offices in the region: Costa Rica, Barbados, and Jamaica.

Mr. Hanson completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of the West Indies. He obtained his Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, USA, a Certificate in Energy Efficiency from the University of Technology, Jamaica, and a Certificate in Project Finance from Harvard University. He has also successfully completed all sections of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examinations in the USA.

Based on the experience above, we want to apply our entrepreneurial expertise in the climate space. Energy efficiency and air purification are seen as low-hanging fruit, hence the company decided to focus initially on that area.
